    Afry will help us identify the most common challenges that companies face when trying to find the best sustainable packaging solution for their international products. We will learn about what innovating across borders can actually entail in reality, and how other industries use and integrate packaging into their business.

    Christian is a senior packaging consultant at AFRY, where he supports brand owners as well as producers to advance their packaging offering with his expertise in the packaging value chain and topics like strategies, development, quality assurance, sustainability and recycling.

    Christian has spent more than 20 years working in the packaging industry, mainly from the global brand owners' perspective. He is also well-known among fellow professionals for his passion to share knowledge and encourage new collaborations across the packaging ecosystem.

    Sustainability Manager @Systembolaget

    Reaching the customer - a key to change

    We will hear how Systembolaget works strategically and systematically to reduce its climate footprint from packaging. To enable a change upstream in the supply chain, it must have the customer's acceptance downstream. A major challenge for all retail and specialist retailers is to get our customers on the journey towards a climate-smarter range of packaging.

    Maria Hagström Blomqvist

    Maria has genuine expertise in Systembolaget’s products and has worked as an educator for wine, the purchaser of beer and spirits, as well as head of Systembolaget’s sensory tastings. Her knowledge of the industry in combination with her commitment to environmental issues led to her current role, where she for the past six years has been leading the work on how to reduce the climate impact from packaging.
